The student will track character development by examining an assigned character in small groups. The students will build a case for/against a chosen character at the end of the play.

Seed:
Students will read listen to the teacher or LMS reading two passages (non-fiction, poetry, prose) from the Grade 8 literature text. The students will then read both passages individually. Students will then work in pairs to analyze the speaking of the passages vs the reading of the passages, in order to determine meaning. What evidence from the passages supports the arguments?
