Seed idea:

Student has been assigned to do research on a topic by the classroom teacher. Using the encyclopedia as a resource, students will begin by completing the “K” portion of a KWL chart. Student should develop questions/comments for each column of the chart that will demonstrate understanding of the text (giving examples), and will formulate purpose-setting questions in the “L” column.
